CHRISTOPHER - Wat'cha Gonna Do?, Canada 1969 (LIONS PRODUCTION)
LP extra heavy gatefold sleeve
Deluxe LP reissue of one of the absolute rarest American psychedelic LPs of the '60s -- and one of the best. Every song is of the highest quality (all originals too), with an accessible sound that suggests the band could have had more widespread success, had they ever made it out of their native South Carolina. The album was originally pressed in 1969 to use as a demo, but you'd never know it based on the overall quality of the production; the music demands your attention: well-crafted trippy lysergic lyrics about plastic capsules (and more), flanged vocals (among other effects), fine vocal harmonies, extended jamming, and a transcendent quality well expressed by the gutsy and creative guitar work. When you've got blistering acid rock mixed with acid blues, with a couple of thoughtful melodic songs for good measure, you've got a recipe for something special. Had Christopher been a major label release it would be a staple in every record collection. Now, on to the presentation... highest quality mastering and pressing (done at Acoustech Mastering/RTI in California); the resulting LP is housed in a poly-lined sleeve, which is inside an ultra-heavy 1960s Project 3-label style gatefold jacket, which is in a loose-fitting plastic sleeve. Top of the line pressing all the way. Limited by license to exactly 500 copies

PLASTIC CLOUD - Same, Canada 1968 (LIONS PRODUCTION)
LP extra heavy gatefold sleeve
Bay Ridge, Ontario's contribution to the psychedelic pantheon, their self-titled LP (Allied/1968) is a swirl of gossamer vocals and Tolkien references, swathed in the some of the most relentless fuzz guitar you will ever hear. We feel it's about time this fine record got the compact disc treatment it deserves, so we've gone all out for this reissue -- newly remastered from the tapes and the accompanying twenty-page booklet has all the lyrics, thanks to Don Brewer, the man who wrote them, as well as rare photos and a replica of the original press release that must be seen to be believed. Essential psychedelia.

DAMON - Song Of A Gygsy, USA 1970 (GUERSSEN)
LP & single in stamped gatefold sleeve with insert
Here is another gatefold Damony version previous reissued as LITTLE INDIAN. This version is pretty good and the music is one of the best you can get in loner-stoner-psych direction. Reissued in Spain.

STUD COLE - Same, USA (LOOPDEN)
LP plus insert
BURN BABY BURN, one of the best songs of this album is real killer. Stud Cole is an mazing rare and good album from California. Perhaps recorded in 1971. Originals go for big $$, Here is Scott's great reissue in heavy paste-on-sleeve. The songs have a dark and scary feel. What a singer Stud is. Pure Psych with Elvis like vocals. If you like Arcesia (Stud sings better) and Rick Saucedo you will love this one.

PANNA FREDDA - Uno, ITALY 1971 (MAYFAIR MUSIC)
LP in gatefold sleeve
At the time this album was released, this band from Rome already vanished from the music scene for two reasons: 1) Even though the album songs were already recorded in 1970, there was no support from the label to promote the album or the singles. 2) Before frustration got even worse, some members were drawn for military service. But before they left, they gave us this record with its distinctive clothesline-cover and a couple of Singles, two tracks of them featured here as Bonustracks. Alas, a later reunion of the band failed...
6 long tracks, great musicianship with keyboards and guitar, moody and dark songwriting...all these ingredients make this album one of Italia's finest pieces of Progressive Music. One of the best from Italy.
